Electrical Facial: The ZIIP Guide to At-Home Treatment and Devices

Learn All About The Beauty Technology Taking The World By Storm: The Guide To Electrical Facial Therapy And How To Complete An Electrical Facial At Home

Electrical stimulation treatments are rising in popularity, praised by the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Margot Robbie, but what is an electrical facial?

Electrical facials use low-level electrical waveforms which can be used to create the appearance of tighter, smoother, more sculpted-looking complexion.

What is an Electrical Facial?

Electrical facial treatments use electrical waveforms on the face and neck, working with the skin’s natural bioelectricity to support its appearance. Over time, this can lead to the appearance of visible tightening and definition across the face, jawline, and neck.

Although typically conducted by estheticians, in recent years, we have seen the rise of the electrical facial at home. Using handy, lightweight devices such as the ZIIP HALO, users are invited to conduct their own facials within the comfort of their home, and without the hefty price tag of a clinic visit every time their skin needs a visible boost.

Working in sync with the ZIIP Beauty App, users can safely follow Mel’s guidance at home to help get the most out of their electrical stimulation device.

The ZIIP App offers 9 full facial treatments to follow, 8 targeted treatments for specific areas such as the lips and jowls, and 7 longer-term treatment plans designed to help you reach your skin goals.

How to Use an Electrical Stimulation Device

Using an electrical stimulation facial device at home on your own can feel like quite a daunting task, especially if you’re used to having the treatment performed in a clinic by a professional—this is why the team behind ZIIP created the ZIIP Beauty App.

Choose your treatment. The ZIIP App will begin trying to pair with your electrical facial device.

Power on the ZIIP HALO device using the small, circular button on the bottom. When the device is on, you will see a slight glow appear on the band across the middle of the device. The device does not begin a treatment until both silver globes are pressed against the skin.

When you feel a vibration against the skin, this is your indication to begin moving the device up and out towards the edge of your face. Each vibration indicates the beginning of a new movement. Following along with the video will allow you to see the exact movement that Mel uses to follow the treatment as intended.

Halfway through the treatment, your device will beep once to indicate that it is time to move it over to the other half of your face and begin treating that area.

When your treatment has completed, the device will beep twice in close succession to signify that the ZIIP has turned itself off. When you have finished, wipe your ZIIP HALO down and store the device back in the box. A cloth with a light coating of rubbing alcohol can be used occasionally to wipe the device, avoiding the charging point.

Treatments on the app range from between 2 minutes to 12 minutes. Users should try to incorporate the device into their skincare routine around 3 to 5 times a week, with a maximum of 6 times when following a treatment plan.

ZIIP HALO should not be used directly on the eye, center of the neck, chest, breasts, or groin. It should also not be used on any areas that are bleeding, painful, or swollen. For those with pacemakers, dental implants, or those undergoing chemotherapy, please consult with your doctor prior to use. ZIIP HALO should not be used by people with Epilepsy, pregnant people, or people who are breastfeeding.

Conclusion

The ZIIP HALO is a versatile product, allowing you to work through the ZIIP Beauty App to find your ideal treatment plan and routine. Define your skin goals, then visibly refine your complexion.
